Kids Sunday 2011

Last Sunday was the annual Kid's Sunday at the church...The kids did a great job again this year - doing skits to act out the people who trusted in God....The Jr. High kids did a lot of the readings - and then the 5th graders and below did the skits....
Matson as Daniel - before he was thrown in the lions den...
Oops - here is our buddy Lochlan in SS nursery while I was changing lenses - he is so cute!!
Cole & Bryanna and their friends from the Cherub choir who made an apprearance - always good for some chuckles!!
Lexi & Jayden - Lexi was the sick woman who touched the robe of Jesus
AAAHH David & Goliath - I wish that I had on film Goliath (played by Connor) falling flat to the floor when pelted with the sling shot rock - it was priceless - and I am surprised he didn't knock himself out.
Noah (Adam), his wife (Becca) and I am not sure the character that Nathan was playing - but looking over the plans for the arc...we should have built it last week with all the rain that we have had :)
Here is Garrett - the character of the production - he was Lot
Robert and Adam began the march around Jericho with a little trumpet song. They and their followers marched around the church and when it was time for the walls to crumble - all of the little kids blew in their toy trumpets - somehow I didn't get a picture of that...
Ole' King Adam...
Bryanna singing..
with Alanna - they take dance together and will go to kindergarten next year too.
Cole and Leah singing away - Cole had to dress up for kids Sunday - but his tie was getting a little short ...
Miss McKenna playing her violin - she did a great job!!
Miss Lexi playing her piano songs.

Lexi and her friends from Kids Klub singing as the praise team. Peggy does such a great job with all of the kids - here she is playing the piano with Kayla, Karley, Lexi, McKenna, Robert, Gracie, Becca, Katie & Connor.

Christmas with the Pollock Family

We spent the day after Christmas with my Gram and our family at Aunt Gwen's house. Lexi and Cole always enjoy these get togethers as there are always kids there. Lexi especially enjoys her time with Kelsey & Lauren, my cousin Christy's girls. Here is a picture of Bryanna, Lauren, Kelsey & Lexi - 4 of Gram's 6 great granddaughters.Lauren opening a Liv Doll
Kelsey and her game - the kids were so funny all sitting in a row waiting patiently to get their turn to open a gift.
Cole opted to sit with Grandmu as the kids call her to open his gift
Tucker got Legos!!!
Gram opening some of her gifts
My mom and her sister - my Aunt Gwen. All my Mom talked about was Aunt Gwen's leg lamp from the movie A Christmas Story. Now she has one of her very own.
My cousin Christy's husband Dan doing legos with Kelsey & Lexi while Helen looks on. It was really neat for there to be two great grandmothers at our get together.
Gram & Scotty with 6 of their current 10 great grandkids - soon to be 11 in July when Meg & Bryan's new little bundle arrives. Gram and Scotty are sure blessed.
The kids played Christmas Bingo - here they are getting ready.
Gram helping Cole - he went BINGO first!!
Kelsey & Lexi playing hard. We always have such a nice time when we get together - it is just never long enough. Hopefully this year will allow us additional time to be together as a family!!

Christmas Day 2010

It all started with a simple note, a glass of milk and a few treats.....
From two of Santa's favorite kids
He filled our tree with gifts and surprises...
and reminded us just how truly lucky we are in this life.
The kids waited at the top of the stairs - ornaments in hand knowing that Santa had been there.
They opened each other's gifts first - Lexi getting Cole a video and BopIt.
and Lexi's pure joy with Cole's purchase for her - A Nerf Gun!!
Cole was so proud of the hunting video he bought for Daddy
and Lexi was surprised with her Liv Doll from Santa
Mommy bought Lexi some new shoes (Daddy says I am creating another monster!!)
and Cole looked for more clues with his new spy glasses.
We finished up under the tree and went downstairs for their last gifts from Mommy and Daddy...
This I have to say was the best moment of the day. Lexi has asked and asked for a DSI. Her friends all have one - but we used this as a learning lesson for her that even though everyone else has one, doesn't always mean that you get one. She began to save her own money - and when we saw that - decided to make it her big gift. To say that she was excited would be an understatement.
Cole got his train table that you can see as his big gift - but this is him opening his other gift. I went upstairs to get some kleenex and there were still two presents under the tree - even though the kids say that there weren't - proving Santa does do magic. Cole has asked Santa since August I swear for Stinky the Garbage truck. It has never changed - unlike other years where it changes daily. This is him opening it - and afterwards - he said "Thank You Santa - I love you."
Cole with Stinky!!
Lexi & her DSI - Santa brought her 2 games for it.
Cole with his new train table.
Trying it out
Best Friends!!
Daddy got a surprise too - proving that Mommy isn't as stupid as he may think when it comes to snowmobiles - a helmet with a modular lift and lense heater!!! I made sure to brag to him that I had bought it 2 weeks before he went and tried one on :)
Then we went to Christmas at Nana & Papa's with Mimi, Bebe & Bryanna. They had stockings....
Bryanna got some puppets
and surprises....
Fashion model in training - styling with new hat and purse from Aunt Jeannie
Bryanna asked who got her Toy Story 3 - and Cole was raising his hand that he did!!! He sure loves this little lady.
Nana & Papa got Lexi the Moxie house
Merry Christmas from the Mongs.....
The Lenk Grandkids...
The Henry's.....
and Nana & Papa with their three favorits little ones.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas
